Eyeglasses are as old as the Renaissance, but even now we still need trained professionals to fit them, it’s a nightmare for developing countries. In sub-Saharan Africa, for example, there’s only one optometrist for around 1 million people. There optmetrists and eye doctors are badly needly to check eyeglasses pescription for the local people. That’s no problem for the Western world, such as USA, which has around one optometrist for roughly every 10,000 people. People in USA can get their glasses prescription very quickly.
So I think we should do something for the people there, we can gather our unwanted eyeglasses, recheck the used glasses and sent them to the poor people. If we can collect a lot of eyeglasses, we also can sent some optometrist work there so that the people there can get more correct prescription glassses.
There are numerous ways to detect the change in seasons, from keeping close tabs on the weather to, say, checking out the length of women’s skirts.
In the summer, many gentlemen pull out their lovable eye glasses for its clean and pure look as well as its smooth feel.
So it should come as no surprise that some fashion eyegalsses for customers in summer. (more eyeglasses…)
Eyeglasses comprising a primary lens frame having a first pair of lens holders separated by a bridge portion having a major magnetic member disposed therein, said major magnetic member disposed within the bridge portion on a rear side of the bridge portion such that a surface of the major magnetic member is exposed and faces rearward. The eyeglasses further include an auxiliary frame having a second pair of lens holders separated by a bridge portion formed to include a protruding grip extension that extends perpendicularly outward from the auxiliary frame. The grip extension includes an upward lip with a minor magnetic member disposed therein such that a surface of the minor magnet member is exposed and faces forward. The auxiliary frame is coupled to the primary lens frame from the bottom such that the grip extension extends under the bridge portion in the primary lens frame and the upward lip engages the bridge portion of the primary lens frame on the rear side of the bridge, said major and minor magnetic members magnetically coupling together, thereby further securing the auxiliary frame to the primary lens frame.

People living in remote mountain villages in Afghanistan will soon be getting used prescription glasses from Hawaii.
The Lions Club and the Rotary Club are collecting thousands of pairs of used glasses from all over the state.
Volunteers measure the strength of the glasses lenses, label them, clean them and pack all the eyeglasses up.
Next month, U.S. military postal service will fly all the glasses to Afghanistan.
“The two members of the Lions Club who will be traveling there will be taking these glasses to separate mountain villages, escorted by the tribal leaders and distributing the glasses to the people who live in those villages,” said Dr. Hugo Higa of the Aesthetic Vision Center. (more eyeglasses…)
